Uncovered is a book that I wrote and photographed that documents the life of a gay man. It displays and discusses how he corresponds to or rejects the social stereotypes towards gay men in the world today.
This series focuses on natural beauty. Two photographs were taken of each subject: the first shows the subject without makeup or her hair done, and the second shows her wearing makeup with her hair done. I displayed the "before" and "after" shots in a grid on two separate panels to compare the photographs as a whole piece but individually display the differences of each subject.
This series focuses on deception and role play. One subject wears a glowing white attire while the other subject is geared in all black. While the subject in white represents good and the subject in black favors scandal, their roles continuously alter throughout the series. I shot these photos with the intention to capture the not always seen sides of good versus evil.
